Environment & leisure

Between cultural enjoyment and Bergerleben

Only five kilometres from Lake Kaltern (see 360° photo of Lake Kaltern) in the South of South Tyrol, Tramin offers a variety of leisure activities

Pure hiking enjoyment

over hill and dale

Whether you are interested in extensive hiking trips into the mid-range mountain area in the direction of Kurtatsch and Graun, to Kaltern or Altenburg, or whether you like to enjoy trips into the Mendel mountain range or walk along the lane until you reach the Gummererhof restaurant ….there are no limits to how much activity you can enjoy.

A more comfortable tour is the almost flat path to Söll and Kurtatsch. If you want to walk a little further, you can reach Lake Kaltern in about 50 minutes. Your kids will love it, particularly as there is lots to discover in the orchards and the nearby biotope.

On the bikeroad

Between the bottom of the valley and the summit

The lanes running through our meadows lead you directly into the cycling network of South Tyrol. For those who prefer more demanding cycling tours, can try out the Tramin Downhill Trail or dare to take the Roen downhill run.

Experience bathing pleasures

In the cool water

Families feel at home at the ‘Hof im Bad‘. You can enjoy a quiet location without being too far away from everything. You can visit the nearby outdoor swimming pools and the area surrounding our farm offers itself for kids to play and relax.

During the summer months, you might want to enjoy a dive into fresh water. You can choose from the outdoor swimming pool, Lake Kaltern, the nearby Lake Fennberg, as well as the two Montiggl Lakes.

Discover cultural treasures

Of beasts and weddings

Guests who are particularly interested in culture might want to visit the Tramin Village Museum or the Kastelaz chapel with its bestiary, a very special fresco cycle.

Celebrate parties

Enjoy culinary delights

You can also check out the locals at one of the numerous village festivals in the surrounding area. This region offers everything from a Pasta Festival ...to the Autumn Festival and the Tramin Weingassl Festival. Wine plays a central role in these festivals. A very special part of Tramin’s festival culture for locals and visitors alike is our Fat Tuesday version. It is celebrated in odd years. Come and enjoy the Egetmann parade together with the locals!
